Hong Kong International Airport

 

Hong Kong International Airport is the only airport serving Hong Kong. To make passengers’ journey more convenient, shuttle buses between terminals are operated.

Airport express

The Airport Express is the quickest route between the airport and Central Hong Kong; taking just 24 minutes- less to Kowloon. The train runs like clockwork at 12-minute intervals, from 05:50 - 00:48, daily.

Travel Time: 24mins

Cost: $13

Frequency: Every 12 minutes.

 

Tickets are priced at around $90 - $160. Tickets must be purchased before getting on the train, with ticket vendors stationed at the entrances.

 

Airport bus

There are plenty of buses that can take you wherever in Hong Kong. Buses between the airport and Central take around 45mins, with journey time to Kowloon around 30mins. Fares vary depending on which route you take, however the maximum you're likely to pay is $5. Buses during the day are frequent, upwards of every 10 minutes, while night buses are generally every 30mins. Buses don't give change, so try and bring the right amount as far as possible.

from 6:00-24:00,depart every 15-20mimutes.

Route E:

E11 to Central, wanchai, causeway bay, HK$23

E21 to Mong Kok, HK$14

 

Taxi

Hong Kong taxis are divided to three colors by the area they can go.

 

Urban (Red) The red taxis have the highest fares among all, and serve all areas of New Territories, Kowloon and Hong Kong Island. They may also run Tung Chung (Lantau), the Airport at Chek Lap Kok (Lantau) and Disneyland, but are not permitted to run the rest of Lantau Island.

 

New Territories (green) serve only parts of the New Territories, including Sha Tin, Tuen Mun, Yuen Long, Fanling, Sheung Shui, Pak Tam Chung, Tai Po, West of Ting Kau and North of Chuen Lung, except Lantau Island, Tsang Tai Uk, Sai Kung, Tsuen Wan, Kwai Chung and Tsing Yi.

 

Lantau Island (blue) taxis run exclusively on southern Lantau Island, Tung Chung, the Airport and Disneyland, thus they are restricted to a small area.

 

Railway Station

 

Hung Hom Railway Station

 

Trains from Canton to Hung Hom Railway Station stops at Dongguan, Canton East, Foshan, and Zhaoqing, from Guangzhou to Hong Hong takes 1hour and 40 minutes. 

Trains from Beijing and Shanghai to Hong Kong depart every two days, take about 24 hours and 20 hours respectively.

China Ferry Terminal

 

China Ferry Terminal mainly operates ferries to Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Dongguan, and Zhongshan.

Hong Kong - Macau Ferry Terminal

 

Hong Kong - Macau Ferry Terminal mainly operates ferries to Macau, Zhongshan, Zhuhai, and Shenzhen.

Haitian ferry terminal

 

Haitian ferry terminal is the nearest ferry terminal to the airport. Visitors to Hong Kong Airport from mainland China could enter Hong Kong from Haitian ferry terminal

 

Hong Kong to Macau

 

Timetable from Hong Kong to Macau is fixed, takes about one hour and 150 – 180 Hong Kong dollars. Ferry departure interval varies on different docks.

 

You could go to Macau by ship from three docks:

 

Sheung Wan:  Ship to Macau departs every 15 minutes during peak hours or one hour in low hours.

Hong Kong China Ferry Terminal: Ship to Macau departs from 7:00 to 22:30, every half hour during peak hours or one hour in low hours.

Sky Pier: Four ships depart for Macau on 9:30 /15:15 /18:00 /22:00.
