Hong Kong is an ideal Shopping Heaven. When you come to Hong Kong, shopping should not be missed any more than its other charming attractions. Shops in Hong Kong offer not only goods but also a comfortable shopping environment. The best three buys are clothes, cosmetics and electrical appliances.

 

There are lots of Shopping areas with different characters and unique charm in Hong Kong, including Tsim Sha Tsui and Harbour City, Canton Road and Beijing Road, well-known for its elegance and prosperity, Central, offering good inexpensive merchandise, and Mong Kok, providing a variety of souvenirs.

 

Tsim Sha Tsui

Tsim Sha Tsui is a luxury shopping and recreational area. Many worldwide famous shopping malls have branches in the region. The Park Lane Shopper's Boulevard is a favorite for women, selling fashionable clothes at moderate prices. Canton Road and Beijing Road have many chain stores of various famous brands, and Granville Road has cosmetics and factory outlets for clothes. There you can find many designer boutiques, such as Louis Vuitton, Salvatore Ferragamo, Prada, Yves Saint Laurent, Polo Ralph Lauren, Versace, Burberry, and Hugo Boss.

 

Harbour City is the largest multi-function shopping mall in Hong Kong, stretching from the Star Ferry Terminal in the south to city’s north. It has five parts: Marco Polo Hong Kong Hotel, Ocean Terminal, Ocean Center, the Gateway, and the Pacific Club Kowloon.

 

Central

Situated on Hong Kong Island, Central is the business and economic center of Hong Kong. The Hong Kong & Shanghai Bank (HSBC) building and Bank of China building are the two most outstanding landmarks. Top boutiques and large shopping malls can also be found in this district.

 

Causeway Bay

Besides having the charming Victoria Park and the horse racecourse, Causeway Bay is reputed as “a City without Night”. To go shopping in Causeway Bay, visitors can start from Windsor Plaza at Great George Street in the east of Causeway Bay, and end at Time Square in the west of Causeway Bay.

 

Along the way, you could find numerous shopping malls: Hang Lung Centre, Fashion Island, Island Beverly Center, World Trade Center, Jumbo Sogo, Causeway Bay Plaza, Mitsukoshi Shopping Mall, and Lee Gardens. There is also the popular open market, Jardine's Crescent, which attracts young people for the fashionable clothes, and latest fashioncommodity. Most shops in Causeway Bay open at 11:00-12:00 and close at 10:00-11:00 at night.
